Giovanni Parochetti, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Giovanni "Gio" Parochetti, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than five years of experience working in behavioral health. His background includes several years as a psychiatric nurse, including work in inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry, followed by his current work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner providing outpatient care to children, adolescents, and adults.

Gio particularly enjoys working with patients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood-related concerns. His experience working with children and adolescents has also given him an appreciation for the important role that family, school, relationships, and developmental changes can play in a young person's mental health. He enjoys helping adolescents and young adults navigate the challenges that can come with increasing independence, changing responsibilities, school, work, and the transition into adulthood.

Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Gio built a strong clinical foundation through more than a decade in nursing. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado Mesa University and later completed his Master of Science in Nursing and specialized psychiatric training at Wayne State University.

Gio takes a collaborative and approachable approach to psychiatric care. He believes patients should feel heard, understand their treatment options, and feel comfortable asking questions about their care. He takes time to understand each patient's symptoms, concerns, goals, and individual circumstances so that treatment decisions can be made together.

Gio is known for his warm demeanor, clear communication, and nonjudgmental style. His goal is to create a comfortable environment where patients and families can speak openly about their concerns while receiving thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to their individual needs.
