Giovanni Parochetti, MSN, PMHN-BC
Giovanni, known to most as Gio, is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of nursing experience and a strong dedication to compassionate, patient centered care. He began his nursing career in 2014 and continued building his foundation in nursing through undergraduate studies, completing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Colorado Mesa University before advancing into psychiatric practice. He ultimately received his Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wayne State University, where he completed his specialized clinical training.
Over the past five years, Gio has worked exclusively in behavioral health. His experience includes caring for youth on an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry unit as well as providing outpatient psychiatric care for patients of all ages. This blend of inpatient and outpatient work has strengthened his ability to support patients through a wide range of emotional and psychiatric challenges.
His approach is shaped by both his professional training and his lived experience. Having navigated his own mental health struggles, Gio understands what it feels like to be "on the other side of the couch." This perspective allows him to listen without judgment, create a welcoming and safe environment, and tailor treatment to each patient’s individual needs and goals.
Gio is recognized for his warm presence, clear communication, and steady commitment to helping patients feel understood and supported. Whether working with children, adults, or families, he strives to help each person feel comfortable, empowered, and confident as they move forward in their healing journey.
